About Hanna Hats of Donegal Ltd.

In 1924 David Hanna Snr. started a small tailoring firm in the townland of Donegal on Ireland's north-west coast. Because of the decline in the market for bespoke tailored suits my father decided to specialise in the making of handcrafted hats and caps.

The very first 'Hanna' hat was created in 1964 and it took four and a half hours to complete. It was called the 'Hanna Hat' and given the style number '84'.

That age-old tradition of bespoke tailoring has played a major role in the transition to our current range of handcrafted headwear. One only has to pick up a 'Hanna' hat or cap to see that the quality tailored look has been retained completely.

Hanna Hats of Donegal are unique as all of our styles are cut to patterns designed by Hanna Hats and assembled by hand at our factory in Donegal Town. We use the finest Donegal tweed (pure new wool) woven exclusively for us.

Our full range of hats and caps are naturally moisture repellent, guaranteed to keep you dry and warm in all kinds of weather.

Our hats and caps are available in sizes small (S), medium (M), large (L), extra large (XL) and extra-extra large (XXL) covering all sizes from 6 7/8 to size 8.
